Updated information on our dealing with the Coronavirus Pandemic

General

As we have done before, we strive to maintain operations at the notary's office with as few restrictions as possible, while making an effort to contain the Coronavirus, protecting your health and ours. Currently, the following measures are in place:

Access to the Notary’s Office

Access to our office is possible by prior appointment only. Appointments can be made by e-mail or telephone. Appointments at short notice are also possible, if necessary.

If you have symptoms of SARS-CoV2 (especially dry cough, high temperature, loss or change to your sense of smell or taste), have travelled to a high-risk area during the past two weeks, or have tested positive for Covid-19, you are not allowed to enter the notary's office. Please contact us for clarification regarding the further procedure in your case.

Allocation of Appointments

Regarding the allocation of rooms in our office, we want to ensure sufficient distance between the parties involved as well as good ventilation; thus, the prioritisation of appointments may be necessary. Therefore, when making an appointment request, please indicate by when a deed needs to be notarised and why. We currently offer appointments preferably by telephone or videoconferencing, but in individual cases in the notary’s office as well. Out-of-office appointments are possible in accordance with the principles mentioned above, unless they involve any specific risk of infection.

Participants in Appointments

Only those persons whose presence is required by law for the purposes of the notarisation in question are to be present in appointments. If consultants (lawyers, tax advisors, brokers) need to contribute to the meeting, we facilitate participation by telephone or videoconferencing during the entire appointment or selectively. In many cases, parties involved in the notarisation may also be represented by power of attorney or subject to approval. Please contact us about the possibilities in your individual case.

Hygiene Measures in the Notary's Office

Hand washing and disinfection are possible at any time, especially upon arrival at the notary's office. Please maintain 1.5 to 2 metres distance from anyone you do not live with. We strive to provide sufficiently large rooms for each appointment. You are welcome to bring your own pen (preferably a biro or fountain pen with permanent ink) to the appointment. Should you wish to use our ballpoint pens, kindly take them with you after the appointment. Please bring a face covering to protect others present. Whether you and we wear such coverings during the appointment can be agreed upon on a case-by-case basis. Especially for identification purposes, you need to remove your face covering briefly. If you are defined as clinically extremely vulnerable, we ask you to let us know accordingly in advance; in this case, other measures, e.g., when setting up an appointment (see above), may be required in addition or given priority.
